Things to Know Before You Book

Age Requirements for Tattooing and Piercing Services

Tattooing:


We strictly adhere to the legal age requirement for tattoos, which is 18 years and older. We will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, regardless of parental consent.

Pregnancy and Nursing:


We do not offer tattooing or piercing services to individuals who are pregnant or nursing. This is a precautionary measure to ensure the health and safety of both the client and their child. We are happy to assist with jewelry removal or changes during this time.

 

Identification:

All clients will be required to present valid government-issued identification to verify their age before any tattooing or piercing service is performed.

 

Piercing:

  • Earlobes: We pierce earlobes for individuals aged 5 years and older, with parental consent and presence required for those under 18.

  • Helix: Helix piercings are available for individuals aged 12 years and older, with parental consent and presence required for those under 18.

  • Other Piercings: Most other piercings are available for individuals aged 14 years and older, with parental consent and presence required for those under 18.

  • Tongue and Nipple Piercings: These piercings are strictly for individuals aged 18 years and older, regardless of parental consent.

Tips to Prepare for Your Tattoo: - Exfoliate the area with a loofah or washcloth for 3 days leading up to your appointment - Moisturize the week prior to your appointment but NOT the morning of - Please avoid drinking alcohol the night before and day of your appointment (24 hours before) - Get a good night's rest the day before - Eat a healthy breakfast the morning of your appointment - Stay well hydrated and minimize caffeine intake - Please inform your artist of any medications you may be taking, especially blood thinners, immune suppressants, or antibiotics - If you would like to use a topical numbing agent, please ask your artist beforehand to see if it's okay to apply Things You Can Bring: - Drink and snacks (water, juice, chocolate, crackers, granola bars, etc.) - Pillow and blanket for larger pieces - Phone, tablet, or book for entertainment - Appropriate clothing that provides access to the area being tattooed

Tattoo Care Instructions Absorbent Style Bandage: Remove bandage after 1-6 hours. Wash with warm water and fragrance-free soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or fragrance-free lotion. Repeat the wash/dry/moisturize process 2-3 times on the first day. Second Skin Style Bandage: Leave bandage on for 3-5 days. Remove in a warm shower by peeling from one corner. Wash with warm water and fragrance-free soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or fragrance-free lotion. For both bandage types: Wash, dry, and moisturize once in the morning and once at night for 5-7 days, then once daily until fully healed. Important Aftercare Notes: - Avoid wearing jewelry that touches your fresh tattoo - Do NOT use Polysporin or Vaseline on your tattoo - Avoid sun and tanning on your new tattoo - Avoid swimming, hot tubs, baths, and saunas for 2 weeks - Areas that bend and stretch take longer to heal and may experience more pain, redness, swelling, and scabbing - Tattoos on hands, feet, elbows, and knees are prone to poor healing and we do not offer any guarantees on them
